A shoulder to the FIGHTER

it was, the 6th day of the fast on august 22nd when i joined hands to follow the way lead by Anna hazare. it was hot sunny day, as i reached the ramlila ground, old Delhi from my college hostel. i could see a hundred Indian flags soaring up in the sky, i could see the thousand of supporters on the roads that led to the ground and in the ground, i could see many more women supporting the movement and raising their pitch, the dream of gandhiji`s india was very near i told myself. the thing that took me away was young kids not more than 5-6 years old, waving the Indian flag proudly and i promised in my heart at that moment, that its our responsibility to give a better future for them. and there i saw the man, lying on the stage without food for six long days. my heart struck for him. probably at his age of 73 he didn't lay in his chair glancing the newspapers of the day, with a cup of coffee on the other hand. what made him, to go on streets to protest against the government. when i left the ground, i know that by now, corruption would have been shell-shocked as a revolution goes against it. obviously it would have packed up, waking to the numerous dissents.its time for you to leave my country. Though the shouts of the million supporters daunted my sleep, i lay peaceful, closing my eyes wishing a better future for this great nation. jai hind!
